10,300+ equipment and truck buyers participate in 3-day CA$137+ million auction

Of the 6 auctions we hold in Edmonton each year, April and October are usually the largest, and our October 2015 auction certainly didn't disappoint. With more than 6,900 heavy equipment items and trucks up for grabs, interest from buyers near and far was at an all-time high. The bidding competition was intense with more than 10,300 people from 55 countries registered to bid in person and online.
By the time the last item sold on Thursday (Oct 29th) at our Nisku site, we had sold CA$137+ million of equipment and trucks – everything from excavators, dozers, articulated dump trucks and drilling equipment to truck tractors, trailers, boom trucks and more. We even sold emergency vehicles, aircraft, and real estate packages.
A huge success for repeat and first-time equipment sellers
With equipment sold for more than 875 sellers, the record attendance translated to strong results and happy customers. Ryan Hilton, President & CEO of Spirit Pipelines Ltd., a Wetaskiwin, AB-based pipeline and facility construction company, said:
